Marine fauna from the Philippines introduces itself

MarineFauna is an export company located near Cebu City in the Philippines. We are marine biologists and started 22 years ago with a new approach to gently catch aquarium animals and export them all over the world, as well as to Germany. Now it comes to a transshipping cooperation with Whitecorals.

MarineFauna is an export company located near Cebu City in the Philippines. We are marine biologists and started 22 years ago with a new approach to catch aquarium animals gently and export them all over the world, as well as to Germany. We do not stock the animals, but catch them exclusively for each customer. They are then kept in our flow-through facility with fresh seawater for a few days to empty their guts and then sent on their way. No chemicals are used at any time: neither cyanide during the catch (our fishermen have been trained to work exclusively with nets), nor antibiotics during caging and no tranquillisers during international transport.

We pay our fishermen especially well for excellent quality, gentle catching and stress-free transfer of the animals.

MarineFauna, in addition to tropical fish, is a specialist in invertebrates (lower animals) that perform natural tasks in the reef ecosystem and are therefore indispensable for any aquarium. Starfish reduce organic waste on the aquarium floor, burrowing sea urchins add oxygen to the sediment, etc. We also offer communities, such as gobies with their crustacean partners together and likewise anemones with their symbiotic partner fish.

Because we do not stock, we take about 10 days from order receipt to shipment. The reefs are not a supermarket and not every animal is available at all times, but we do our best to fulfil orders as good as possible. In return, we supply fresh animals that have not had to spend weeks in aquarium tanks, without species-appropriate caging conditions and high doses of antibiotics.

Thanks to the good quality of our supplied animals, we have gained a very good reputation in marine aquaristics worldwide.
